On Monday afternoon in Bethlehem, PA, a cyclist named Frank Pavlick was struck by a black sedan who’s driver immediately tried to flee the scene. However, upon seeing the crash, a public bus driver, Richard Gubish, Jr, maneuvered the bus to block both lanes of traffic, thus keeping the sedan driver from leaving the scene. Additionally, a silver car driven by Jud Smull stopped directly behind the black sedan, effectively sandwiching him in until the authorities arrived. The 17 year old sedan driver has been charged with two traffic violations. The video of the incident can be seen here. Coincidentally, this occurred on the same day a new Pennsylvania bike safety law requiring motorists to leave a four-foot cushion when passing a bicyclist went into effect
